How'd you start?

So, since no one's chatting, I guess I'll start! I started Winter Guard my junior year of high school, in Florida. But I started Color Guard freshman year in California. And as much as I love dancing it, sabre is my favorite. How about you guys?

I started in California where I marched for the Concord Blue Devils. I performed in both their Drum Corp during the summer and the World Guard during winter season. I would have to say that I am a rifle person. At least as far a choreographing things. However. I loved peforming the flag stuff.

That's awesome. I don't know what it was, but I could *never* get the spin right for rifle. It just never clicked for me. That and maybe I was paranoid about all that wood breaking my fingers, which I needed for band!

I started tall and short flags at San Ramon Valley High School back in 1990. I have been practicing my short flags off and on since then. I recently joined a juggling group and they are all inspired by my flags. I just performed solo, in front of a 100 people on Saturday night (April 10th). I have never done a solo performance. I realized how much I missed performing and practicing in a group.

my best friend, the drum major (:D) begged me to join cuz their werent enough people. i joined and hated it because i cannot dig the whole flag thing. once i did rifle though. *heavenly light and choirs of angels* ok, thats a lie, it was very painful, but a "bazillion fafillion" times better. oh yes, this is my junior year.
